It is a crime and a shame to go through life without understanding that we are spirit, mind and body. For too many we place our focus in one area of life while neglecting the remaining aspects of our being. On a scale of 1-10, I rate my physical well-being at around an 7. I rate myself this because at 43 I am not on any medications, I can run and walk my flexibility is great for a woman my age. When it comes to my spiritual well-being I rate myself at a solid 8; my faith in God is strong and secure yet I am still working toward a higher level of spirituality. As for my psychological well-being I must rate myself at a whopping 7. Psychologically I need some adjustments in my emotions.
I would set a goal to eat better meals and less snacking on junk food to improve my physical rating. There is not much more I can do spiritually without the Lord leading me to it. However, psychologically, I would set a goal to be less reactive emotionally to negative situations.
Becoming more mindful is the most helpful in all three aspects of my being. I can achieve this through mindful meditation, prayer, and yoga.
The Crime of the Century meditation with visualization for me started out being very relaxing but as time went on I started to get a little frustrated and rushed within. I guess I have a short attention span. I really do need to learn to still my mind and quiet my spirit.
That is so wonderful! I am very happy that you are so healthy in mind, body, and spirit! Keep it up. You will flourish!
